He was born and raised in one of the most vibrant cities of South-East Asia, Lahore. He did his Pre-Medical from GCU, MBBS from SIMS, and House job at Services Hospital, Lahore. Pre-Residency he spent most of his time in the “Big Apple” doing rotations at the leading hospitals like Columbia, Mount Sinai, NY Methodist, and Kings County. The NRMP match process took him to the cold land of North Dakota, where he found that people had the warmest of hearts.
His interests in Psychiatry are Treatment-Resistant schizophrenia, Clozapine, ECT and TMS. He is currently a PGY-4 Psychiatry Resident at the University of North Dakota (UND) and RFM of North Dakota Psychiatric Society (NDPS). He has presented UND at an AMA conference and NDPS at APA area 4 council meetings.
He has been mentoring International Medical Graduates through different forums for the past four years. His core interest is “Mental Health Awareness,” and he runs a page named, “Mental Health First” on Facebook with over 14 k members. He has done several mental health webinars via different forums like Umang, 72 news and King Edward USMLE. Most recently, he did a series on “ COVID-19 and Mental Health” from the platform of “ US Consulate General Lahore” which had around 41 k views.
