Azfar M. Malik, MD, MBA, DFAPA, is Founder and Chief Medical Officer at CenterPointe Hospital in St. Charles, Missouri and is currently serving as President for CenterPointe Behavioral Health Systems. Dr. Malik is Founder and Chairman, Board of Directors at Psych Care Consultants, LLC, a premier private psychiatric group practice with 4 locations serving the St. Louis metro area. He is Founder, Principal Investigator and President of Psych Care Consultants Research, LLC. Dr. Malik is Founder, President and CEO of Sunshine Residential Facilities. Dr. Malik also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Neurology and Psychiatry Department at St. Louis University.

Dr. Malik currently serves on a number of executive and professional committees. These committees include, Executive Board of Governors, Senior Leadership and Performance Improvement, Quality Assurance and Credentialing Committees for Centerpointe Hospital; Clinical TMS Society; Private Practice for Missouri (Missouri Psychiatric Association).

Dr. Malik was a contributor to “Cognitive Impairment in Schizophrenia”, published in Current Psychiatry. He is also a national speaker for several pharmaceutical companies and participates in educational programs across the country as well as advisory boards.

Dr. Malik received his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed his psychiatry residency training at St. Louis University Medical Center.  He earned his M.B.A. from Olin School of Business at Washington University, St. Louis.

He has been recognized as a Distinguished Fellow by the American Psychiatric Association and is the recipient of several honors; NAMI, Exemplary Psychiatrist, NAMI-St. Louis, Mortimer Goodwin Award, Most Influential Minority Small Business Leaders, St. Louis Business Journal, Prestigious Missourian Award from the Governor of Missouri.
