Dr. Ramesh Chand is a psychiatrist, teacher and researcher. He is a graduate of Bolan Medical College, Quetta and completed his psychiatry training at Bolan medical complex hospital, Quetta and Aga khan University Hospital Karachi. He has practiced and taught Psychiatry in Pakistan for the last 8 years. He is currently a Senior Registrar of Psychiatry at Balochistan institute of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences (BIPBS), Quetta. He has served in several leadership roles in Pakistan. During his 8 years of practice he also been trained in the World Health Organization’s mental health gap program (mhGAP) as master trainer and also trained medical and paramedical staff in his local community regarding mental health issues. He is also trained in EMDR and has practiced it in Quetta. He is currently serving as the elected Balochistan Chapter Chief, Pakistan Psychiatric Society; the only national organization of Psychiatrists in Pakistan.
He is also teaching under graduate and post graduate trainees in Psychiatry enrolled in MCPS and FCPS programs at BIPBS. He is an International member of American Psychiatric Association (APA). He also has a busy private practice in Quetta.
