Dr. Salman Majeed is a Board-Certified Adult, Child, and Adolescent Psychiatrist. He is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

Dr. Majeed completed his psychiatry residency at Drexel University College of Medicine. During his residency, he also completed a two-year psychodynamic psychotherapy fellowship from Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. He completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship from Brown University. After residency, he worked for four years as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Since then, while maintaining his affiliation and teaching efforts at University, he has been working at his private Practice Silverlining Health and Welless. He has been actively engaged in the clinical education of medical students, residents, and child psychiatry fellows with a special interest in teaching them therapeutic skills. His students and trainees have honored him with multiple teaching and clinical excellence awards. Dr. Majeed has authored multiple clinical peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He is also honored to serve as President for the Central PA chapter of American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). Dr. Majeed has been extensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, and family therapy. Salman and his wife, Rabia also love parenting their two young children together.
